Another Top of the World View. These photos do not do this view any justice. From left to right, Jane Doe & John Doe.

Jim Davis powering over some tough rock ledges with his '87 GL Syncro on the Top of the World Trail. Look close - the left/rear wheel is off the ground!
|
Brian Kraft tackles rock ledges with his Syncro Westy. This spot is much rougher than it looks! Our Syncros had to wait here a bit for a Jeep CJ7 to get out of the way - it had broken its rear driveshaft here!!

Those rough rocks extracted their toll! Here I (Jim Davis) am putting on a spare tire since the rocks had bent the original enough to pop the bead & lose air pressure. Helping to support the van are Dave & Dave of "Team Dave". They attended the Syncro Safari in a Chevy Blazer, but they're still great guys.

This really is how sheer the cliff is at Top of the World! It's straight down - over 2,000 feet!
