Here’s some photos 4-wheeling at the Christmas Valley Sand Dunes on Wednesday, August 15th. Part of these extensive dunes are set aside specifically as a “vehicular recreation area”. |
Joey’s DoKa slid back a bit into the weeds. We learned the importance of keeping the power and speed up in sand! We managed to stay on the sand except for this accidental little detour … Go up, Joey, up! |

Great blue sky and puffy white clouds, but the wind and blowing sand were really starting to pick up. We headed down just before the whole dune area was engulfed by a sand storm. |
